I was born in London in 1946 amongst a family of artists, the most famous being George Armfield-Smith. His paintings were in my grandmother’s house; and his influence was all around me. I moved to America in the late 1960’s and lived in New Jersey within close proximity to NYC. I then traveled across the country by bus and car through Virginia, Oklahoma and eventually settled in Southern California in the early 1970’s. My work is taken from all these times and places.
